How Healthy is Your Pet?

adult and senior wellness programs

Our pets age must faster than their human owners.  On average, every year a cat or dog ages is equal to 7 human years, and large-breed dogs age even faster.  Wellness programs have been created by our veterinarians to develop baseline ranges while your pet is healthy so we can determine what is "normal" for your pet.  We can compare future tests to these results.  Variances over time may lead your veterinarian to recommend lifestyle changes, diet changes, or medication or may signal a potential problem before symptoms have begun.  Similar testing is recommended for us human by our MD's for the same reasons.  Our adult wellness program is targeted for adult cats and dogs age 1-6 and should be performed at least twice in this 6 year time period.  Our Senior Wellness program begins at age 7 and should be performed every other year.  Consider wellness testing on a person at age 30 and then again at age 45.  The results may be very similar or very different depending on our genes, our lifestyle, our environment, or chronic conditions we may already be treating.  The goal of our wellness testing is the same.  Can we do anything to improve your pet's quality of life and increase the time you have with your favorite furry friend?  The chances are higher if we discover problems early.   Ask a team member today about these wellness packages!
